Located in the center of San Diego’s East Village neighborhood, the Merian was named after Maria Sibylla Merian - an illustrator and leader in natural science. The interior design was inspired by her work, blending materials found in nature. Influenced by the organic sciences, the dynamic suspended stone sculpture in the lobby and botanical themes in the art throughout the building carry this story through each space. The use of stone, wood, and natural textiles provide a balanced and beautiful palette that is carried throughout the amenities and residential units. The end result is a beautiful and elegant building that stands out in the market.
